Most of the girls’ bedrooms are designed with the same focus on comfort and practicality as the master rooms. They tend to follow the same pattern of simplicity and practicality. However, this doesn’t mean they are the only option. Most of the girls like to play games or to sit in their cozy seats and often a games room can be a great option which will be fun for the kids and accessible or comfortable for them.

This is the case of most girl’s bedrooms. It’s actually more common for these rooms to be located in a part of the house rather than a bedroom. This way a connection with the garden or backyard can be made. Let’s take a look at some design options.

As you can see, the bed is the most important element. This is important especially if you have two girls. This way they won’t have to share the same room and they will still have their own space. It’s best to provide separate beds for boys and girls so they have their own space. By opting for a twin-size bed you create a more intimate atmosphere and you can better concentrate on the placement of the bed.

If you have a split room then two identical beds placed on opposite sides would look more like a set. In this case, one of the beds is larger than the other and this way the décor becomes balanced. You can also include a dresser in the room and save some space.

In this case, the center of the room is occupied by the bed. To save space you can have both beds placed in the same wall unit. If you also decide that you want to create a cozy and intimate ambiance in the room, place the bed in the corner. It would be nice to also have a walk-in closet under the bed.

As we’ve already mentioned, furniture is important. When you decide to create a girl’s bedroom, avoid having a large bed which takes up too much space. Instead, try to find pieces that are small and scalable. This way you can opt for a canopy bed or for a bunk bed.

The second choice can be something as simple as a bunk bed for a small girl. To avoid making the room seem too small, match the bed to a matching desk or dresser. These are options that can be combined with almost any other furniture piece that would fit.
