The recent trend has been to focus on unique and modern floor seating, which is not to be ignored because a lot of contemporary interiors are going down the traditional route and go for more simplistic silhouettes and less ornate designs. That doesn’t mean, however, that the old, iconic seated squares and long and narrow tables can’t make a great statement piece. In fact, the versatile seating solutions from Mediabistro make up the set entitled “Ordinary”.

The collection was created by designer Fabrizio Batoni of Translatea, an innovative design studio founded in 2008 by Milan-based designer Andrea Lucatello. Using the Embryo robotic surface system, the designers created a new type of seating.

Using the LED lighting technology, the designers were able to create new and unconventional seating arrangements, which are more versatile and visually pleasing than the usual pieces of furniture.
