Victorian Interior Design in San Francisco:

“This 3+/- bedroom 2 bathroom Bay Area 2 was designed by VGOS architects and built in 1920.

It has all the hallmarks of a 5-story building, and is within walking distance of the City Capitol (Whistler is one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the Twin Cities), West Village, and even the recent Olympic Stadium.

This two-story home features rare beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge and of the San Francisco skyline beyond.

The main floor features a gracious living area, floor to ceiling windows that welcome the views, and a gracious, airy dining room which opens to the kitchen and makes for a cool space for entertaining a group.

The adjacent hall is filled with light and air, and is small but sweet. The kitchen, in bright white, has all the necessities, and is well equipped for entertaining.

The middle floor, accessed by a elevator or via a manually operated ramp, contains the bedrooms of the house. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and each is equipped with a TV and a balcony overlooking the Bay and the City.

The bottom two floors are glazed, each with a beautiful view of the City and the open space around it. It is the lower level that also has access to the terrazzo flooring; each has balconies off the bedrooms.

The overall project plan is a mix of traditional and modern; there is a sense of relaxation and familiarity about its style, and the incorporation of features such as the operable skylight, the living room, and the library all work off of this juxtaposition.”
