Thomas De Lisle dreamed up a suite of modern transforming dwellings, located in his hometown of Utrecht, The Netherlands, and which he brought to the surface in 2013. His idea was to build a tall family home with a south-east/west orientation and a double height room facing the park on the street side.
The project includes a double height apartment with a living room of 180m2, an art studio overlooking the park, a bathroom with a sauna and a utility room.
The undertaking was relatively cost-efficient: less than half of the original structure was maintained. The remaining work needed to be completed such as the finishing touches, as well as any additions that could be made to accommodate the new tenants.
