Designed by the architects Oscar Gonzalez Moaraz, Luis Barragán Pérez, this house is truly amazing. It’s one of the best example of a country house that combines interior and exterior spaces in a really nice way. It’s basically a two-in-one structure: a compact living area on the ground floor and a more private bedroom upstairs. The house is really cozy and inviting and it has a design that allows it to have an optical connection with the garden and the immediate surroundings as well as the distant landscape.
The color palette used throughout the house is based on earthy tones of brown with the occasional white and gray accent features. The exterior of the house is covered in areas of grey stone with a very strong texture and a color similar to that on the roof so that the compact design and the choice of materials allow the house to blend in and to connect to the garden.
The roof extends slightly to form a protective shade over the deck, the pool and the garden. The views from the roof are really beautiful. The stone wall that surrounds the house contains the bedrooms and bathrooms and the upper floor houses the living area, with a compact kitchen, the office and the roof garden.
